Linda, a beautiful lady from Thailand, modeled in the afternoons during an anatomy class at Scottsdale Artists School. The teacher lectured and taught anatomy in the mornings, advised and helped beginning painters in the afternoon, and left me to do my own work without comment, which suited me. After we had seen our model in a most lovely $10,000 painting at one of the galleries, the teacher said he liked mine better. I laughed and told him I’d buy champagne for the group if someone bought mine for that much.
