When the class I had signed up for at Studio Incamminati got canceled a few years ago, I decided I would do some plein air painting instead.  It was a cold week and I carried my easel around for days before finally setting it up, despite the cold.  I did a color study of this red door in the historic Elsfreth Alley in Philadelphia on a forty-five degree April day.  I worked up a larger format composition after returning, and I have been coming back to this piece several times, for several years before finally finishing.

This painting has been donated to Studio Incamminati for the Gala Art Auction in spring 2025.  100% proceeds to the school for a full price purchase.  Now available through Studio Incamminati.
